Introduction

This is my first marine aquarium! I decided to start out small and build a 20g nano reef with Innovative Marine's Fusion 20. Slowly, but steadily I'll be making additions and improvements to this setup.

I am a graphic designer and photographer by day and an aspiring Marine Biologist by night. You can see some of my work at astnmrtn.com.

Inspiration & Goals

My goal is to maintain a 100% aquacultured & propagated ecosystem in an effort to do things as eco-friendly as possible. My live rock comes from Real Reef Rock (realreefrock.com) and all my inhabitants are either ORA aquacultured or propagated from my friends system at Crystal Reef Aquatics (crystalreefaquatics.com).

I have just completed my open water SCUBA certification this summer and will be going back to school for Marine Biology in the spring. Putting together this tank is a way for me to do independent study and observation. I hope to pursue a career in reef conservation and underwater photography.
