Fish Notes: Middle clownfish showing unusual colour on skin. like a white haze. also has some signs of fin damage or rot. have noticed aggression to this fish from larger clown. Fish is still eating well and moving around tank as normal. ??? better not be velvet.

Fish Notes: All fish doing very well. No current signs of white spot on all fish. Minimal reportable scratching events on all fish.
Coral. Still no change.

Fish Notes: Has been a few days since last log as have been out of the house. Seems Blue tang is suffering from white spot. Obviously 1 of these little bastards made it through QT. Clownfish are not showing any signs of parasite. Blue tang is eating and acting well with the odd scratching episode. Still have not been able to get blue tang to feed on Nori however has been eating well on pallet food and the odd mysis shrimp. Tang is also keeping natural algae growth under control.
Largest clowns growth on left side has healed well and is pretty much completely gone.
all other fish acting and eating well.
Coral growth still good. no signs of any problems here.

Fish Notes: Largest Clownfish. Today fish shows little signs of yesterday white mark. You can still see that something had occurred on the fish at that location but only from slightly white discolouration. There is no zit/cyst like lump. Fish in question still shows nil abnormal behaviour and is continuing to eat and swim around tank well.
Blue tang continues to improve and today was witnessed eating 2-4 prepared pallet foods. Tang continues to loose abnormal shape to abdomen believed fish to be of poor body mass on purchase and is slowly regaining proper body weight. All other fish nil change nil complaint.
Coral continues to show nil poor effects from accidental overdose of alk from the other day and testing today shows levels to be steady (slight rise in both but expected post water change). At this stage happy to prepare to add more coral and fish when money is available.
Just a side note: Protein skimmer seems to be functioning increasing better although of cheap brand and manufacturer. This will obviously be due to increase in fish population and food and waste production however nitrates continue to remain @ 0 and no noted increase in algae growth. Macro Algae in sump has shown no obvious signs of growth and personally at this stage i am contemplating whether it has actually started to deteriorate. Skimmer is positioned before refugium and with the current amount of live rock in tank there is a very good chance that there still is insufficient nutrients to sustain it. I am attempting to plan for future growth of the tank and would like to keep this macroalgae in good health. Will continue to monitor its growth or demise over time.

Fish Notes: Blue tang continues to integrate well into tank and is less skittish when persons past by tank. Tang is visually hiding alot less and spends most times swimming around with largest clownfish "Coral" and grazing on algae growth. Tang has been whitnessed eating pellet food however still no luck yet with Nori.
Largest clownfish "Coral" whitespot on left sides seems to be healing and becoming harder to see and seems "faded" as her orange pigmentation returns. This seems to confirm my original assumption that this was not "whitespot" but infact either a injury of some sort, cyst, or other viral infection.
Middle clown "Marlin" still has same whitespots as when originally purchase, approx 1-2 months ago. Believe this to be more of a pigmentation problem as the bumps do not change, are not raised in anyway. Fish in question has never been witnessed scratching or exhibiting any strange or concerning behaviour. no other fish are showing any similar signs so dont believe it to be infectious, however will continue to monitor.
Coral seems unaffected so far from yesterdays over dose of alk. Calcium levels are holding so at this stage seems to be no adverse effects. Will dose calcium this afternoon and will perform tests on both in a couple of days to confirm levels.
Red slime algae noted in refugium growing on recently introduced macroalgae. manually removed as much as possible yesterday and removed rocks from sump area that showed signs of spread. Considering treating macroalgae with chemiclean that is on hand external from display to prevent any effect on live stock. Will have to research this more as i am unaware of the effects this will play on the macroalgae itself and the smaller life forms that live within. Personally i would rather terminate the life within the marco algae and not the system as a whole.

Small water change performed today. Was ok removing water from tank. Forgot to shut off ATO however this dose not effect it until refilling as sump is higher water level while return pump is off. During replacement had to play henry the octopus trying to hold float up while holing fresh salt water pipe steady. in fact had to call out to wife for assistance in controlling ato to prevent unrequired fresh water dose. Need to spend some time on ATO unit and salt mixing station and get this implamented for ease. Perhaps a auto exchange system??? fresh salt water in while old being taken out. will have a think about new system over next couple of nights.

Fish Note: Noticed white blister/pimple like lesion on largest clown fish left side. doesnt seem stressed by it at all and nil signs of scratching and breathing normally. will monitor over next several weeks.
Also blue tang has been noted scratching on multiple occasions against LR. Nil signs of parasites on this fish however still has unusual shape of belly. almost looks like it is under weight and what i am seeing is just the outline of the fishes organs through the skin of the fish. Fish has been eating well on current algae in tank and has been witnessed eating some of the sinking pellets. Have yet to be able to feed blue tang Nori.
