Introduction

This is my first salt water reef tank. My plan was to build a stable FOWLER system with dry rock and sand as the foundation, because I did not know much about hitchhikers or other pests that may come with live rock. I cycled the tank in five week using Prodbio Biodigest and Dr. Tim's one and only. I added Dr. Tim's because I was growing impatient. I added Two Cardinals and since they seemed to be doing well I added two clowns and two turbo snails.

I plan to add several Zoas, palies and a torch coral once the FOWLER becomes stable and I acquire the test kits for calcium, and magnesium.

Despite adding livestock too quickly, everything is going well, no panic moments, and I am really enjoying the hobby.

No sign of cyno. Snails dis their job and I think the water quality is improving. Removed a media tray and placed the reactor in the chamber and moved the skimmer into the chamber next to it.
Nitrates seem to be manageable. Around 5ppm. I'll do a second water change to get them down under 5. Added some hermit crabs and a torch coral. Also a clove coral that has not opened. I hope the clown
Lately I have been fighting Cyanobacteria. Added a new skimmer, Eshopps nano and ordered a media reactor. Dosing with no4-po3-x in the meantime.
My Nitrates are rising. I think this is because I have added livestock too quickly. I know the bacteria is present to reduce nitrates because I measured them falling towards the end of my cycle. There
