Introduction

This is my first tank that I have set up from scratch. My other, and only, marine experience is my current Red Sea Max 130. I bought the 130 second hand with everything included, including live stock. I've had no issues at all with this tank so I'm hoping the experience with this one will see me right with the new Aqua Reef 400.

Tank has finished cycling. Big water change over the weekend, check the levels then time to add CUC and some Blue Chromis. YAY!

Nitrates are going higher and diatom outbreak has commenced. Probably over feeding and too much light. Going to cut back on both. Light for only 6 hours a day and feeding just a little at a time. Hope
First death. :(

One of the Chromis fish has died and is no where to be seen. He was picked on from the moment they hit the tank so I'm not too surprised. I am surprised out how quickly th
Changed 150L of water today. Wow, that was a big job. Dreaming of automatic water changer. Reality time... will look into having water changing gear directly opposite tank so I can run some pipe throu
