Welcome to my 20 Gallon mixed reef!

I've been out of the hobby for several years, but I've decided to dive in and see if I still have the "Green thumb," I once processed before.

This Aquarium is sort of an experiment in the making. Again, it has been years since I've practiced any of these disciplines, and there has been many advancements in the trade over my "MIA" years.

Phosphate levels are UP!

While my nitrates are staying at a consistent level of 25ppm, my Phosphates have risen up to 0.06. However the phosphate levels should be around 1.5625ppm to matc
System still operating as it has been. I cleaned the glass tonight, but it was a thin white film. I'm still not seeing any algae growth in the system. It has only been a few weeks since my exit strate

I will be feeding only frozen food to my aquariums. I hope by feeding only frozen foods that it will help increase my phosphate levels. I do believe this will take ef
Constantly second guessing myself.

I really need to stop second guessing myself. I am witnessing awesome coral growth. All of my parameters are consistent.

Proof I'm doing
I need to increase my phosphates. I spent the majority of my morning researching the Redfield Ratio. Currently @ 25ppm of nitrates, I should have about 1.5ppm of phosphates, which I don?t have most li
Possible changes to the system.

I will be removing filter socks after today's water change. I'm also considering the use of Chemipure Blue.

Inspiration & Goals

My goals for this setup are to try to grow out SPS corals as fast as possible and improving color, while lowering maintenance.

I have plans to build a 300-gallon peninsula aquarium in my living room, and all practices and knowledge gained from this setup will be applied.
