Soooo.... Been lazy on the skimmer changes, happening about 1 per week sometimes longer. Going to start with 2 times per week.
Also let crabs get pretty low, bought about a dozen a couple weeks back. Need more.
Also have not been running carbon for the last couple of months.
Need better circulation. I have so many corrals in the sand due to frags of leather corral and peters corral. Ideally I remove many of these items.
Time to change it up,
Getting some cyano bacteria in areas, not horrible but unsightly.

Popped off red mushrooms and spread out into groups in tank 1-10-14. They look best on flatter surfaces. 1-18-14 some may be duplicating!

Water change 20 gallons. Used the sink siphon pump. 1 hour start to turning back on the systems. Siphoned sand I could reach. Not a ton of silt detritus coming out. Sand did have some color on it. Green and brown algae? Used the turkey baster to pull silt from sump.

Have noticed a persistent fuzz on rocks, snails, crabs, pumps, and back glass. No color, short. Tail spot blenny is fattening up on it!

Added Red Dragonette. And Red Mushroom corals yesterday. Dragonette is now swimming and seen pretty consistently in front right of tank, hides and hunts in rocks.
13ish red mushrooms. One is separate from others. Thinking of popping them off the culture rock as they look as if small pieces were glued to it, think it would be pretty easy for most. Popped off red mushrooms and spread out into groups in tank 1-10-14. They look best on flatter surfaces. 1-18-14 some may be duplicating!
