Background

I decided It is very important to have a quarantine tank for any corals I put in my system once I found out the hard way that dipping doesn't always get rid of pests. So Now that I have a pest free tank I plan to keep it that way and if you are new to the hobby or even if you have been in the hobby for 5 years or more do not under estimate what we are telling you you definitely need a quarantine tank. Especially if you plan to sell frags and if you sell frags to people knowing you have pests on them then shame on you cause you are causing someone to spend a lot of money to rid their system of them and it is just plain rude to do if you don't sell frags but give them away you still have a very large responsibility to let people know if there is pests!! If you don't you are just a prick and need to find another hobby!!!! Anyway The reason I chose the JBJ 24 gallon is because of it's nice look (makes the wife happy) :) and because it holds a lot of corals and has may lighting options as I have the open/Glass top Model.

Filtration

For now I am just using what the standard 24 gallon JBJ nano Cube Comes with and some rowa phos in panty hose between the media it came with! It came with carbon , 5 JBJ bio balls and ceramic porus curcular stone media as well as 3 large Black square / rectangle shaped sponges. I plan to add more flow later.

Lighting

K-2 Viper 70 Watt HQI from JBJ and a 1 watt Coralife led moon light for the night.

Flow

So far just the standard flow the system comes with looks like 600 gph or so not sure haven't read the specs and like I said in the other section I plan to add more flow!! I do have some loc line on order so I can expand on the adapter flow nozzel it comes with I plan to have 2 have a Y with 2 flow nozzles and 3 inches of loc line off each of them and later I plan to add a couple nano korilias or something!!
