Friday 11/16/18 added 15 nudibranches from Salty Underground to eat aptasia. Put all 15, some tiny some fairly large, in a small hole on the front wall of the tank. All appeared alive and well. Paper mint shrimp is no longer in tank. Also acclimated and iodine dipped a forest fire digitata and placed on back corner of tank on sand.

On Friday night August 3 I heard a noise in the protein skimmer. Checked to see if anything was stuck in it. Later that night checked the tank and smelled a burning smell plus the skimmer was still making noise, so I unplugged it. Saturday morning noticed a lot of bleaching, pearlberry on top, bird nests, chili pepper monti cap, all looking pale and bad. Thought it could be from the burning pump? Mixed 5 gallons of water, mixed about an hour and changed 5 gallons. Saturday night mixed another 10 gallons and changed it on Sunday, the 5th. Also I had switched the led lenses on the max spect razor, took off 90 degree reflector and put on 120 degree. Old lenses were cloudy, so maybe the clear lenses let more light out. Don't really know if the bleaching is from too much or too little light. But we reduced the light in each point to half of what it was, every few days I plan to raise it up 5°.

Added 5 aptasia eating nudibranchesbfrom salty underground to eat aptasia. Also bright green favia coral.
My calcium has been off the chart, 500+. Alk today was 9.4 which is good. I have the calcium doser set to 0 and reduced the Alk from 35 ml to 20. Will test every few days to see if cal goes down and Alk stays stable.
