Timeline

Introduction

Freshwater planted aquarium without co2 injection but with Excel dosing.
I use ferts like KNO3 for N & K.
1 gr. of micros+B mix once a week.
GH buffer as needed to keep GH level at 5-6.
Seachem Alkaline buffer as needed to keep KH level at 3-4.
Tap water : pH 7,6 - GH3 - KH2.
I did not dose any phosphate (KH2PO4) since autumn 2016. Tap water sometimes as high phosphates as high as 2-2,5 ppm and i use Seachem Phosguard to bring them down from time to time.

Light's duration 6 hours.

I will scrap this tank because it's getting too much daylight, from 2 sides, a door and window very near. Too much algae issues since this tank is in this area.
Lighting's duration 8 hours.
I must say that this setup is disastrous since may 2016 when i moved the tank in another area.
It received too much daylight, temperature goes too high in summer, algae hard to control. Unfortu
I did notice a lot less algae to remove on the glasses since I keep phosphates near zero and plants keep on growing
Lowered KNO3 dosing to 1 gr twice per week, nitrates barely detectable.
