Today stopped my Bubble Magus reactor wit active coal and anti-phos. Very effective but maybe too strong impact on corals and inverts.
Reason: loss of 3 tridacna's, 1 anemone and 1 small alveopora on a short term.
Observation: water is very clear and phosphate inexistent. All other tested values also good.

Tubastraea feeding "training" is working, look at the photo gallery.
Some polyps of Tubastraea coccinea reacted to spot feeding yesterday. I started 2 days ago with following ritual:
- first "spray" it a few times with cyclopeeze & mysis shrimp "juice". The juice being the water where food remained for a few minutes.
- second step is another "spray" round with cyclopeeze.
Since yesterday, the polyps started to appear in the septa. The most recent ones (very small on feet) completely opened.
It's a good sign of Tubastraea getting energy to display polyps and start feeding. I will go on with the training until all polys totally open.
Today I received a Tubastrea coccinea (Orange Cup Coral) and the challenge will be to feed him and keep it alive. Tubastrea coccinea is stony and normally extends it's polyps at night to feed on zooplankton. If any of you would have experience with it, please contact me.
NO3 < 10 ppm and salinity 1.023 sg.
Additional water change of 20% will be performed next Saturday.
Based on observation of corals and water parameters, decision was taken to change 20% of water and add salt. Issues observed: salinity 1.020 sg and 25 ppm NO3.
Replaced defect Amtra Pro Nature Zen Artist 100 Watt.
Added temperature controller of Aqua Medic, capable of controlling an heater and a cooler.
Heather stopped and temperature back to the expected level.
Tomorrow further measurements in the morning.
