Inside my heart bottom I am wishing to have a nice full of lively coral tank even just with soft corals/LPS...
why I can't have it? I have all the equipment/supply... but lack of knowledge and courage...

This is the time for me to grow with more knowledge:
1) Deal with fish disease (especially ich).
2) Get water quality under control- Nitrate/Phosphate/Alkalinity...
3) Then slowly add in soft coral/LPS, some day maybe SPS. Actually I had SPS plug before, I doing nothing but watching them slowly died...

In reefing hobby 3 years already, I feel shamed for I can't have a nice beautiful coral reef tank, even though I had some nice coral before, but they never grow well, one torch coral lived > 1 year, then suddenly died...
After that I stop trying...

Last night busy with researching ich/UV sterilizer and morning wake up at 6:30am to check the 3D printed items... less 6 hours sleep, makes me feel very bad now...

If I leave the Reefer350 alone, all these thing won't happen... once I put attention on it, just too many things to do...

After basic study, first thing is to buy and setup UV sterilizer. Not long ago I just threw away a Eheim UV sterilizer, now I need to buy a new one...

Currently looking at Coral life twist 3x, $90, looking good.

Lunch time if have time will go NanYang fish shop to have a look, by the way buy tubing, if not for buying tubing, I won't go there, I'll shop it on line...

I hope with UV sterilizer setup may can help some for controlling ich outbreak...

Last night,
1) I fixed the hammer head magnetic scraper,
2) 3D design/print floss holder for sump.
3) 3D printed a cub holder (sump area, top water top)
4) 3D printing seaweed feeding holder...

Just when watching the fishes swimming, I spot some white spots on the 2 Pennant coral fishes and Falcula butterfly fish, some on the blue tang as well...
The worst nightmare of the ich disease when adding new fishes which I worried is becoming true...

After basic study, I also setup quarantine tank before, later on the tank water leak and 2 marine tank just too much work, I converted into fresh water tank.
Now ich coming back again... Be careful buying fish from Coral farm, this is the 2nd case new fishes from coral farm having ich issue in just a few days...

I neglect reefer 350 tank for such long time (> 6 months), just let the tank and fishes survive...
and when the fox face fish not eating, I am doing nothing about it... eventually it stave to death...

For so long time I have nothing to do for this tank beside clean the glass and water change about 1/month...
Some days I even not looking at the tank...

Suddenly I have so much things need to work on it....

After recent a few days work, Reefer350 shining again, it's the jewel of my 5 fish tanks again just after I replaced the sergeant/blue fin to 6 new fishes... it looks stunning...

Next major task is to increase mechanical filtering and sand cleaning, try hard to get crystal clear water...
Then slowly bring down Nitrate/Phosphate level, the leather coral expanding...
May consider adding more LPS- such as torch coral/LFS... then more beautiful fishes...

New tasks for Reefer 350:
1) Fix the hammerhead magnet scraper (to replace the brush inner side), need to go Aquamarine to buy.
2) Need to check the Reefer 350 filter socks design, maybe re-design and 3D print.
3) Build a filter floss holder for filter floss to add one extra layer filtration.
4) 3D design/print a seaweed holder to hold seaweed to feed fox face/Tang fish...
5) Fix the cabinet door(not able to close firmly)...

Reefer 350 having high nitrate for quite some time (> 6 months) and I am doing nothing to solve it...

Now it's the time to settle it. I am not comfortable with current salfer Nitrate test kit, when I searching red sea test kit, I found Hanna has newly coming out: Nitrate High range checker coming out, also got PH checker, this is good. Plan to buy Hanna Nitrate and PH checker today/this week and top up alkalinity/phosphate checker reagent. 7/19/21 08:29 am
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update:
I bought it from Amazon US, total $170 ( Hanna Nitrate HR and PH checker with 500ml seachem Phos guard), local Hanna shop Nitrate HR checker selling @ s$99, Amazon US only s$79, $20 cheaper and with delivery. Local hanna also doesn't have PH checker for sale. Even I need to wait 10 to 14 days shipping time. Let's just wait. 7/19/21 10:29 am
