Woke up to one of the Lyretails sucked up against my closed loop intake. She wasn't feeding, I knew I was going to lose her. Didn't do well from the start.
Well I have a new reeflo pump and skimmer pump on the way. Welcome to the hobby!

Other than that, everything good. Clowns seem happy.

Having equipment troubles already. Skimmer pump having seizures and needs replacing. And my closed loop reeflo pump seals have gone.

As of yesterday my parameters were good. So today decided to go out and get that clown pair from a local breeder.

Nitrite was almost zero (<.1) so added more ammonium chloride.

Also cycle progressing nicely. Ammonia is back down to zero, and nitrites are at about 0.2 ppm. Tomorrow I will add some more ammonium chloride and see how fast the tank resolves it. If ammonia and Nitrites are back to zero after 24 hours then tank cycle is complete.

Started to get a few spots of brown algae the other day, now starting to spread out pretty good. Cleaned it off the acrylic.
Side note. I think I'm going to go with a bigger return pump. Currently running the Panworld 100px-x which is rated at 1270gph. Going to upgrade to the 200ps rated at 1750gph. The other will be a back up should I ever need it.

On Saturday I'll be starting to dose Aquavitro eight.four and calcification. Looking to raise pH and get a good foundation for corals.
